Successes and Case Studies
Taira no Masakado Exhibition at Kanda Myojin Shrine

At the ‘Taira no Masakado Exhibition’ held at Tokyo’s historic Kanda Myojin Shrine in 2021, we curated a samurai-themed exhibition featuring our premier collection.
The display centered around rare and historically significant antiquities, including samurai helmets (*kabuto*), swords, face armor (*menpo*), picture scrolls (*emaki*), and hanging scrolls.
To enhance the atmosphere and bring the venue to life, we also carefully selected and displayed original samurai sculptures and paintings produced by our company.
Despite the significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic at the time, the exhibition drew a record-breaking number of visitors, achieving a historic and monumental success.
*Note: Taira no Masakado is one of Japan’s most legendary samurai figures, famously known for his ambition to end the era of court nobles and usher in the age of the samurai.
The venue, Kanda Myojin Shrine, shares a deep and ancient history with him, enshrining Masakado as one of its principal deities. Serving as the grand guardian shrine of Edo (present-day Tokyo), this historic site has garnered fervent devotion from both everyday townspeople and powerful samurai warrior clans throughout the centuries, making it a profoundly significant location for this exhibition.

We have curated and provided exhibition pieces for numerous samurai-themed special exhibitions and exhibition-sales across Japan, all deeply rooted in Japanese culture.

This proven track record has served as a direct bridge to our global endeavors, leading to international lecture invitations and a growing international client base.
