Successes and Case Studies

Certified in 2001 by the Japanese government as a business innovation company

Based on our original planning, we became the first in the world to embark on the creation of 1/4-scale custom-made armor, collaborating with the late Mr. Hiromichi Miura, a master armorer of the Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. Through this initiative, we recreated the aesthetic form of Sengoku-period armor, which is highly acclaimed worldwide.

We focused on the fact that while armor parts are partially preserved as weaponry, the complete, fully-worn appearance is almost never accurately reconstructed. Furthermore, deeply concerned that the majority of armor belonging to famous warlords had been lost—leaving their true appearance forgotten—we began our research and creative work to preserve the aesthetic beauty of the Azuchi-Momoyama period for future generations. Simultaneously, we commenced the creation of warlord portraits and paintings based on rigorous historical research. These efforts have profoundly influenced the modern image of Sengoku warlords, starting with Oda Nobunaga.
